Empowerment Through Defense: Women’s Self-Defense Workshop

Join the Pace Centre and ENGAGE Athletic Performance on May 11 for an empowering event in acknowledgement of Sexual Violence Awareness Month!

In collaboration with ENGAGE Athletic Performance, Wolfs Den Martial Arts Supply & Pace: Community Support, Sexual Assault & Trauma Centre, is hosting a Womens Self-Defense Workshop aimed at teaching women essential life-saving skills in a proactive and empowering way to raise awareness about sexual violence.

There will be a $20 drop-in fee with all proceeds donated to Pace Centre.

PACE is hosting a trauma-informed yoga in the park this June. Please join us as a community in raising awareness for sexual violence. Yoga instructor Jen Edwards will be offering trauma-informed yoga in the Muskoseepi Park Amphitheater.

Trauma-informed yoga is practiced in a safe space with teachers who respect you and your boundaries. They can help you learn how to control and manage what your body and mind are going through.

Get ready to tag your friends and share! Please join us for the 12th Annual Breakfast with the Guys on November 1st from 645am to 9am at Pomeroy Hotel & Conference Centre in Grande Prairie.

In this session, participants examine how masculinity is connected to violence against women and the role that men can play in preventing violence. This session is for people to explore and challenge masculine stereotypes. We will explore expanded definitions of masculinity and the potential for violence prevention.
